bullet  General Notes:

W.J. Jecks elder son Cyril William Jecks, the third William in this family, was the Doctor Cyril Jecks referred to in "The aforementioned Geneology. He was indeed a Doctor and he did die at the age of only 27, although the circumstances are not known at this time. (The Death Certificate has not yet been requested from OPCS). The will of William Jecks of 59 The Strand, London. C.W.Jecks died unmarried leaving no children. It is interesting to note that this will shows that W.J. Jecks lived near to Charles Albert Jecks, the son of his cousin Charles J. Jecks, jr. who lived at 55 The Strand. W.J.Jecks younger son Arthur Statham Jecks also became an attorney, and a rather successful one it seems. He is named as the executor of several of the estates of this part of the Jecks Family.
Arthur died in 1930, in the Great Depression, leaving an estate of over 60,000 pounds sterling. In his Will, he appointed his wife Natalie Jecks and his only child, his daughter Cybil Dorithea Howard, wife of Neville Howard, as executors, along with G.D.Colclough, attorney, his partner. A large part of the estate was left in trust for his wife, and when she died the benefit of the trust was to go to his daughter and her children. Arthur named his sisters Edith Sarah Bloomer and Alice Mary Brewer as alternate beneficiaries should the trust fail. With the death of Arthur Statham Jecks, the name Jecks in this part of the family became extinct
